When it was founded in 1999, VGA Communication specialized in the sale of computer equipment for video production. The company was operated out of founder Gaston Auclair’s basement. After two years of non-stop growth, he simply ran out of space.
In 2001, he signed a reseller contract with Panasonic Canada and moved VGA Communication to 8017 rue Saint-Hubert in Montreal. The new location was a boon for the company, which grew by leaps and bounds. It stayed there until 2012.
During that time, it gradually shifted focus from video production to become a leader in multimedia integration. In order to meet growing demand, it moved to 9105 rue du Champ d’Eau in Saint-Léonard. The new facility featured ample office space and a large warehouse to store merchandise.
2014 brought major changes at the management level. The company was completely restructured to prepare it for a new era. In January 2018, the company once again ran out of space. It found a win-win solution: a rented facility with double the square footage and a comfortable work environment for employees.
